(Grade II listed in 1956 as "terrace 4-14 Market Street" and now listed individually)
Another 18th century house with 19th century windows. The over-sized right-hand ground floor window betrays the fact that at one time this was a shop, run by Mr Dunford, the harness-maker. The postcard below (c.1903) shows the shop, as well as the fact that there were once two doors to no.10. As with nos 12 and 14, the window has been changed, though to an 8-pane style compared to the 6-pane pattern of the others.
The postcard, incidentally, shows one of abbotsbury's Victorian street lamps ~ only one such standard survives, in the garden of the Abbotsbury Studio in Rodden Row.
