(Grade II listed in 1956 as "terrace 4-14 Market Street" and now listed individually)
Described as late 18th or early 19th century with some refestration, the house seems virtually unchanged since 1973, apart from the replacement of the left-hand ground floor window with one in the same style as the other windows, an improvement on the earlier facade. The house was re-slated in 2005. For years it was the home of the Gill family, who worked on the Abbotsbury branch line.
It also has a strange arrangement on the partition walls ~ on the junction with no. 10, the cornerstones seem to change their loyalty halfway up the wall, and on the junction with no.14, where the wall seems to be more part of no.14 than of no.12.
