(Grade II listed since 1973)
Designed in the mid-19th century Victorian Gothic style of the school across the square, this pair of houses, along with the School House, are the most ornate of the houses built by the Earl of Ilchester in 1858, at the same time as the school itself. The diamond-paned leaded windows are typical of the style but ~ according to previous owners of the school house ~ are beginning to show their age, and are not easy to restore.
