The shed with the corrugated iron roof just visible to the left of the garage in the earlier photograph was where Mr Toms, the baker at 1 Rosemary Lane, used to keep his horse and cart.
The garage itself, which had previously been part of East Farm, was replaced in 1990 by what is now called Rowan Cottage, amid some controversy over the height of the roofline, the builder apparently demanding compensation if he were forced into removing and lowering the roof.
