21 Rodden Row

(Grade II listed in 1956)

Listed as part of the block including 1-5 Church Street, around the corner. According to the 1973 Appreciation, this is a "typical 1830's house", but it is perhaps more likely that it is one of the "great many neat slate roofed cottages" (p.23 of the Appreciation) that were built at around the same time as the 4th Earl of Ilchester put up the new school, i.e. in 1858. The listings register puts the house as "mid-19th century".
